Messages and bookings

When you send an inquiry, the form sends your name, email address, selected topic and message through Web3Forms so I can respond. Email correspondence is also held by the email services used to send and receive it. Please do not include confidential manuscripts or sensitive personal information in an initial inquiry.

The booking calendar loads from Cal.com when you open it. Cal.com processes the details you provide to arrange the appointment and may use its own cookies or storage. You can email me instead of using the form or calendar.

Client work and questionnaires

The client area uses Supabase for sign-in and stored workspace information. Authentication uses cookies to maintain your session. Access is controlled through the client account and workspace permissions.

The public author questionnaire saves draft answers in your browser’s local storage. They remain on that device until you clear them or clear your browser data. Downloading your answers does not send them to me. Avoid using a shared device for private drafts.

Website statistics and search

The site is configured to use Vercel Web Analytics on public pages in production. Vercel describes this service as cookie-free analytics. It reports website usage such as page views, referring sites, browser and device information, and approximate location. Client pages, sign-in routes and the author questionnaire are excluded from this site’s analytics. Query strings and URL fragments are removed from page-view URLs; form contents are not sent as analytics events.

Google Search Console is used to understand how the public site appears in Google Search. It does not require a Google Analytics tracking script on this site. This site does not include Google Analytics or advertising pixels.

Hosting services may process technical request and security logs separately from analytics. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy documentation.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the site. Web3Forms delivers inquiries, Cal.com provides booking, and Supabase supports the client area. If you subscribe through the newsletter signup, your email is sent to Cakemail. These services may process information outside Canada under their own terms and privacy policies.

Links to other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Your choices and questions

Contact me to ask about information held about you, request a correction or deletion, or discuss a privacy concern. Some records may need to be retained for an active engagement, accounting or legal obligations. The appropriate retention period depends on the record and its purpose.

You can decline to use the online form or booking service and contact me by email. Browser privacy controls can restrict cookies and local storage, although blocking authentication cookies can prevent client sign-in. This notice will be updated when the site’s services or information practices change.
